Our firm is proud to be part of the AICPA Major Firms Group. The group includes approximately 60 of the largest Certified Public Accounting/Consulting Firms in the Unites States and meets under the umbrella of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Meetings are held semi-annually—and there are additional telephonic meetings and surveys that also add value to our firm and the CPA profession.

The group recently supported a doctoral program initiative whereby firms donated funds to support Colleges and Universities to educate men and women who are pursuing a PhD degree in Accounting. The CPA profession raised several million dollars which will be used to defray the costs for these doctoral candidates. The initiative will help attract quality professors to teach accounting at undergraduate and graduate schools throughout the United States.

This group also deals with a multitude of other issues affecting the CPA profession. Given the current state of the economy, there are often topics and discussions about how firms can assist companies and communities serve.

The group has also supported the profession’s award-winning 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy and Feed The Pig programs to help Americans manage financially through these difficult economic times. Amper, Politziner & Mattia has a number of people who have made very significant time commitments to these projects. We are proud of these individuals.
